Is there a minimum sum needed when opening the SCB Jumpstart account? Is it possible to open the account without putting any money inside?

According to the terms, there is no minimum deposit required and no fall-below fee. Therefore, you are able to open the account without putting any money inside the account.

That being said, most banks will close the account if there is zero balance after a consecutive period of six months. Therefore, I will suggest for you to consider putting a small amount of money into the account.

Here is everything about me and what I do best.

Hi Anon!

I opened this account for my wife just before she turned 27 and everything's good so far.

I can't speak for the bank regarding their T&Cs on this, but I would suggest keeping at least S$1 to keep the account open?

As stated on the product site there are no fall-below (read: minimum balance) fees, so you're all good on this front with just a dollar :)
