Anyone signing up for the SingSaver x Singtel Citi Card promotion?

They're offering airpods + S$50 Singtel iPhone 11 e-voucher and up to 40,000 Welcome Miles, for the CitiPM card is this a good deal? Been looking to get the CitiPM for a while. Also, how would you qualify for the 40,000 welcome miles? is it for everyone who signs up?

Plan your expenses in advance and understand how you can spend $9k within the first 3 months. For example ask yourself if you can prepay any bills. I udnerstand Singtel bills allows you to prepay a lot of months before hand. Use this trick if you are confident that you will be with them for a long time.

With proper planning, you will receive 13,500 miles easily!

I honestly think you can do better.

AirPods - $239.

Singtel voucher - you have to buy the phone without contract, so that's cash out of pocket unless you already intend to buy a phone. Then again if you really do, you can get the phone from J2Mobile/Mobile Square at a lower rate. The $50 here is therefore neligible.

If you really want the card, get the normal SingSaver promo with $300 PayNow cash instead. That's more value than the $239 AirPods.

Plan your expenses in advance and understand how you can spend $9k within the first 3 months. As a result, you will receive 13,500 miles. By hitting the spending requirement and payment of annual fee, you will receive another 26,500 miles. In total, it will be 40,000 miles.

Whether it is a good deal or not, it will depend on your needs. In any case, never spend money for the sake of getting miles. At the end of the day, you will still need to pay $9k from your bank account to the credit card bill.

Here is everything about me and what I do best.

40000 miles is not bad, but if you want a good sign up bonus, i think currently SCB bonus is better (at 60,000 miles)

https://milelion.com/credit-cards/current-credit-card-signup-bonuses/

there are more sign up bonus here, a few are better than the citi card.

Good deal! Usually Citibank offers $200 worth of vouchers or cashback/rebates upon signing up, depending on the channel you are signing up from. Since you have been eying the PremierMiles card for a long while, this coud be one of the best chance to get it.

However, do not be coerced into spending just because of the 40k welcome miles. While enticing, you should see the miles as a by product of your expenditure more than miles beings a reason for your spending. This would be especially useful if you have an upcoming huge expenses in the horizon.
