Any thoughts on GOLD ETF ? Like SPDR Gold Shares (O87.SI)?

Have always been thinking of balancing my portfolio with gold.

I am also long gold etf.
low cost to get started in investing gold. min 10 shares on sgx.

i see it is as a good hedge. gold has many industrial uses so likely it will always be in demand.

spdr gold etf trades in real gold, meaning the price is always.backed by real gold assets.
i do not have to worry about storage of gold bars and also there is liquidity should i want to buy/sell
but of course, with all etfs and funds, there are the fees and commissions to your broker.
