There are often too many ratios to look at, it's so confusing. how do you decide the health of a company with all these ratios?

can we simply trust what we see from these statements or do we usually dive deeper to look into the notes, clauses, caveats (like how they classify something as expenses, or some debt they wrote off, how they book revenue etc.)

should we hold different benchmarks for growth companies vs value companies?​​​
