Women premium for careshield supplement is more ex. is it because they are higher risk in term of severe disability?

The premiums are higher because women spend more years in retirement and thus statistically will be likely to claim more and for a longer duration.

Since expected premiums must match expected claims (and careshield is run in a non-profit mannger), premiums for females are higher.
