Hi so i was trading an etf on ibkr, its vwcg and its irish domiciled. im under the fixed pricing structure and its supposed to cost usd 0.005 per share minimum 1usd. i bought 2 shares of the etf at about 80usd per share and my commissions came to 5.33 usd. why is that so and does anyone have similiar problems as well also?? thanks

VWCG is USD-denominated ETF listed on LSE. Refer to IBKR Pricing:
VWCG commission is USD 0.05% of trade value and minimum USD5.00. The USD0.005 per share and minimum USD1.00 you mentioned is for US stocks listed on US stock exchange.

These rates were very normal, arguably cheap not too long ago.
Not sure when you started but I think most people who started after the COVID crash only experienced Low-no commission trading. This is new. $10USD was very normal commission in the past.
Also one of the reason so many new investors surged into the market and why we have so much speculative trading because it is cheap to do so
