Which bond funds perform better than bond ETF?

Heard that bond funds perform better than bond ETfs. Which global bond funds do better than global bond ETFs?

I don't have global ETF data offhand, but if you are looking at strictly SGD denominated global bond funds, JPM Global Corp Bd A has been a decent performer these few years. Very strong alpha compared to peers, with good Sharpe Ratio and low volatility.

It has proved its worth as an anchor for my portfolio. I prefer this over global bond as I only invest in what I am familiar in and confident with.
