Where to alter pants length?

Hi all, I have recently received some pants. The quality is good, waist fits alright, just the length is too long for me. I would like to get the length altered at a market tailor as they are cheaper. The tailor at the market neat me charges $10 per item which seems a bit high. Any recommendations for cheaper tailors at markets near you? Or is $10 the normal price for altering length?
