I think saving targets have to be divided into short term, mid term and long term. So yes for my long term saving targets (=retirement fund), I top up my CPF religiously.

I have different mental accounts for different saving goals. Any profits I earn from crypto goes straight to my CPF. Any chump change I earn from doing surveys on sites like Milieu goes towards my SRS. Then I am also saving for my child's college fund. I think Begin With the End in Mind - it will help you remain clear about how much to save and for what reasons

Maintain a fixed amount of $$$ in bank.
Mainly becoz i had already clear most of the big expens...
