Seedly is a great place. Contents are free and their events are only token sum. another free forum is hardwarezone. How I wished there were such active community when I first started out. But be wary of some people here who sell courses here. If they are so good as they claim, they will be charging anything for course, If they really sincere to help, why need to charge fees? if they can generate xx% as they claim, they will be very much sought after by Temasek, SWF, offshore bankers and the likes.

If you really really want to pay for a course, check out SIAS, SGX Academy.

I would recommend some youtube channels and websites, but Seedly will delete these posts as spam. but, you can check out some of the speakers in the upcoming seedly perosnal finance 2023 event. I am following one of the speaker, who is a licensed financial adviser.

hope this helps.

Hello Friends.

I'm a fresh engineering graduate, hoping to work my way to FIRE.

I have been trading & investing on/off for the last couple of years. Results ain't great, with lots of lesson learnt and "school Fees" paid. However, I have no regret because I know I'm better than when I first started, and a step towards my goals.

I hope to find an active group to trade/invest with, a mentor to guide and to learn from. But many times, it comes with a heavy price tag (which I understand because it's business).

What's your take on this?

Would you

1) Carry on grinding and self learn

Slow, lost and confused at times. Obtaining information off internet, youtube, books and other forums

Or

2) Join a community group

Would it be a blind leading the blind situation if there's a trade/invest group where newbies come together to learn and trade/invest. ( please do recommend me still if you do have one )

Or

Pay for a Course/Mentor (Who?)

With the little capital I have, this seems like a far stretch as my portfolio is lesser than the fees
