To look at ETF and stocks performance, do I look at their annualised performance? Cumulative performance? Which is better indicator?

Just to see their performance wise, I think avg annualised performance is a better indicator…

Anyway the more volatile the etf or stock, the bigger the diff between these two~

There are lots of factor that cause the performance of that etf/stocks, so both indicator actually quite useless if you want to use it for stock/etf picking
