Perhaps seedly can have a landing page similar to a newsfeed like Facebook (just don't adopt the reputation) where there's like a feed of all groups where one can sieve through via "Recent, New, Trending" and for those who would like to dive into a topic deeper, they can then explore more within the groups.
This would cater to both your target groups:
Person A - Joins one group on a particular topic e.g. Cryptocurrency
Person B - Joins multiple groups of different topics
Person A can scroll through the trending posts / opinion articles on the newsfeed if Person A is keen, otherwise he/she/it can still manuvere to the category of interest at the side.
Person B would use this newsfeed more often than not simply because he/she/it has joined like 15 to 20 groups and it would be highly unlikely he/she/it can sieve through all 15 to 20 groups in one sitting. Hence this centralised newsfeed can be of great assistance.
The current interface is beneficial towards Person A but not Person B.
Also, if Person B joined 15 groups and would like to read the new posts within each group, that would make it 30 clicks as opposed to 2 clicks if there was a common news feed. Definitely easier to scroll through articles that have no interest than to manuevere amongst the various groups - having to account for loading times, opening of additional browser tabs as pointed out by Shaun.
I'm no programmer myself and am not sure the tediousness / potential drawbacks towards this idea, but given how much Seedly has evolved till this very day, I have absolute faith in your programmers :)
