Supposed to go on a trip with my boyfriend, his brother is critically ill and we need to cancel the trip. Does travel insurance cover for my items as well?

I bought tiq basic travel insurance, and have a few questions,
1. If it’s my boyfriend’s brother who is ill, would I be able to claim for losses under my name as well?
2. I bought both our insurance together, but almost all the accommodations and flight/transport bookings are under my name, Would that be a problem for claiming?

Asking this because the TnC only state that: Illness of the Insured Person(s) or His spouse, child, parent, parent-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, brother or sister;
