I have been reading a number of comments about StashAway with mixed feelings. Yes their portfolio’s have been underperforming (mine are down too 🥲) but I love their user experience. Tbh, I feel their app beats the other robos hands down and I really like it. Their investment performance in 2018 to early 2021 also was not bad. It's just the last 1.5 years that has been frustrating, but I understand investing is a long term thing so I am sticking to my plan.
Out of curiosity, anyone else sticking around? What do you want to see improve from them?

My only hope is that they know how to navigate in this potentially long bear market, turning losses into potential gains.

I am sticking around but I don't have a lot with them. Keep in mind majority of fund managers can never outperform the market in the long term.
Even just simply buying and holding the S&P500 ETFs you will outperform many professional managers at a fraction of the fees required.
People always say diversification is important, that holds true the brokerage as well IMHO. I spread my net worth across many different mediums, to hedge against them possibly going out of business (unlikely but can happen).
Honestly, if the reason one chooses to use robos is because they do not have time or can't be bothered to upkeep their portfolios, just set up a recurring buy in one of the brokerages to buy VOO or equivalent at set intervals and you will be set without ever having to lift a finger again.

Once you find out how much % of portfolio the mgmt as a whole has invested in the robo portfolios (not the company shares)... you will have the answer...

I think it is not easy for them since they are only human too. Making bad decisions are part of being human. I am just a bit worried when other Robo starts to change 0 management fee, then what will they do.
