Stashaway doing poorly

Have been DCA-ing monthly into stashaway for 2-3 years now but ever since their most recent portfolio reallocation, it's been doing poorly into the negatives. Probably due to the China stocks? Am slightly worried and am wondering if starting with another robo would be better. I don't have individual stock picking skills so i don't do that. Should I still continue DCA with the same amount I've been putting in even with the current China equity allocation? I've always seen positives, though slight, and the negative makes me a bit uncomfortable now (lol typing this out makes me feel damn stupid, but I guess the emotional part of investing is real)

Omg i am glad for your post ... am feeling the exact way as you are.

It seems to be doing poorly due to the fact that you probably bought in when chinese stocks were performing well. Now that they are down due to government regulations in the past few months, the best course of action would probably be to DCA to average down.

Your portfolio will be fine if you continue to
Believe that chinese stock will perform well in the long term

Hi Anon, first of all, don't worry about feeling stupid. In fact, don't put yourself down like that, because like you said this is the emotional part of investing. Fluctuations, price corrections, and bear markets are all part of investing.

What you're doing when you DCA is long-term investing, which I hope has been the plan all along. So a bear market like this shouldn't rattle you too much and you should continue DCA-ing as per normal, especially so in this period where prices are lower.

If your qualm is due to the Robo, which is StashAway in this case, you can look at the alternatives that others have proposed below. You can stop the DCA for StashAway, and DCA into another Robo, without having to pull out at a loss for your StashAway funds.

Hello! Don't worry about the negatives. Just remember why you are doing it for in the first place - ...
