Hi Im currently 22 yrs old and I want to invest one lump sum of 10k which broker should I choose SC or IBKR since both have its pros and cons?
It’s a one time thing of 10k that’s all. And gonna hold and maybe 1-2 yrs later invest again. Or is it logical to just put it in a robo instead?

Hmm... Since you said that you will be holding it for a few years before investing again, I dont recommend IBKR as there is an inactive monthly fee from what I remembered.

Hi Anon,
As Investorean has mentioned, IBKR charges a monthly inactivity fee of $10. If you don't make any more trades for the next 1-2 years, this adds up to a hefty amount in fees. If it's between IBKR or SCB, then I'd say go with SCB.
Since you've already decided what you want to invest in, there's no need to use a Robo. You'll end up paying more in fees only to own other ETFs that you don't necessarily want to include in your portfolio just yet. I'd suggest just DIY if you're comfortable with it :)
Hope this helps!
