Changing careers is a big decision, so it's important to think about the pros and cons first. If you're interested in tech, then it could be something you enjoy and excel in - it also offers potential for career progression and good earning prospects.
However, make sure you look into what the job involves and what qualifications are needed before taking the leap.
It's always a good idea to research the job market and talk to people who work in tech sector to find out more.
Also consider if your current skills are transferable, as this can help you find a comfortable fit in the industry.

engineering lower risk of being retrenched and lower pay.
tech higher risk and higher pay.
See your interest , your ability and what risk/reward are you able to stomach.
