Its important to establish rules and boundaries even before you start working.

Someone recommended me to this part-time job. My supervisor gave the instructions. I do all the said instruction. But my supervisor approached me due to the complaint from my colleagues whom I do not know. Besides that, the snacks meant for the participants, I gave it to the participants. But at the end of the session, I saw my colleagues took it whereas I stood there seeing them taking it for themselves.

All I know is the supervisor recommended to me. Should I ask the pay with her?

  1. Sometimes there might be 'hidden rules' to look out for especially when working with colleagues who have been around for some time. No harm in asking them what went wrong since you said they complained (though it might not be you) in a tactful way as long as they are not outcasting you.
  2. Not very sure about asking about pay, are you asking when the payday is or how much you're being paid? Regardless both questions are more appropriate for HR to answer. If you're part-time then you can find an opening to ask your boss when you're chatting with him/her about work arrangements.

I don't understand the point about asking about pay.

Sometimes, whether you get along with colleagues is about luck. But also think about what part you may have played in this.

As you are probably new to the workplace, do speak with your direct supervisor for this issue.
