Pru Personal Accident Plan vs AIA Solitaire Accident plan. Which is better?

I am aware that AIA Solitaire has higher premiums as compared to Pru PA, but in terms of coverage? What is the cutting edge AIA has over Prudential that the premium difference is more or less 25%? Thanks

Prudential personal accident insurance provides comprehensive coverage against accidental death, accidents, and 21 infectious diseases such as HFMD (hand, foot, and mouth disease) and dengue. The coverage also extends to cover food poisoning, high-risk activities, animals, and insect bites.

In the event of an accidental injury while on public transport, the payout will be tripled.

For AIA Solitaire PA(II), The coverage also extends beyond accidental death and accidents to cover infectious diseases and food poisoning, etc. It also helps to cover chiropractic treatment costs. The coverage also increases by 5% every year when you renew our policy (up to the 6th year).

Each plan has its own offering and it will be good to chat with your FA on which one is best suited for you. Do get in touch with us if you require more assistance.

Personally I don't see any potential cutting edge for one product to cost more than the other. Marketing cost and profit margin, maybe?

What you should really be looking out for on a PA coverage would be out-patient medical expenses (due to accident) to fill the gap of an Integrated Shield plan.

Don't put too much focus on the death benefits because if you need this coverage, it would be regardless of the cause of death. Get a whole life/ term life plan instead. Same goes to the disability income coverage, get disability income insurance.

So far my experience with Sompo's claims had been pretty good, if that is your number one concern.

Hey there!

The base plan for AIA Solitaire and Pru PA is comparable except for some nuances eg. AIA...
