Is there a difference for fresh grad salary for different class of degree when entering the workforce? Do grades matter for private companies?

I would like to check if there is benefit for aiming first class besides getting stress for aus degree? would the salary be different ? I might pursue for post grad but I would not go for academic role in future. I am in the building industry. I definitely would not want to get stressed over this if they are just gonna pay based on experience. in this post, i am referring to private companies in Singapore context.
