Is it wise for a married couple to pool their investments together into one account?

We each have personal investments prior to marriage. What are the pros/cons of pooling our investments? We currently have a joint savings account where all our salary gets deposited in on a monthly basis and have agreed on a fixed % for investments but currently we are buying stocks through our own individual trading accounts.

It really depends on the relationship of this married couple.

If they trust that money will not get in the way of their married life, and that they will always be aligned in their investments decisions, then why not? You can even open a joint investment account and both party simply put the same investment contribution every month.

It can be done, but i personally wouldnt recommend it. simply because our risk appetites asindividual are usually different, and it is hard to make decisions and prevent finger pointing when things do not go according to plan.
