Is it better to have open a multi currency account (dbs) and transfer USD to TD ameritrade or transfer SGD?

TD automatically exchanges the currency directly for you when you transfer SGD.

Following this! In my own "experiments", not much difference, <0.5% difference, with maybe 1 week difference in terms of how fast the money lands in your TDameritrade account.

I have DBS Multi Currency Account with USD; can I deposit USD into TD Singapore account instead of depositing with SGD?

What is the best brokerage platform to start investing in US stocks/UTs? I have a DBS Multiplier(multi-currency contains SGD & USD) account and recently opened a Saxo account(yet to start investing)?
