Good day,

I signed up for health insurance with a commonly-known provider online about 3 months ago, without involving a servicing agent. Just recently, I got a call implying I needed to meet with a servicing agent for some formalities.
I'm wondering, is it really required to have a servicing agent for an Integrated Shield Plan? If it's not compulsory, could anyone shed some light on the pros and cons of having one?

Some procedures need pre-approval; having an agent help you with all the claim processes probably easier.

For an Integrated Shield Plan, NTUC Income requires you to have an agent to ensure that you understand what you are paying for. An agent can also provide personalized assistance and guidance, help with claim submissions, and offer advice on the best use of your insurance coverage.
