In my Interactive Broker order ticket, I saw Balances, Position, Equity w/Loan, Initial Margin, Maint. Margin. I dont undertand what is that. Appreciate if anyone could explain. Thanks.

Solutions Specialist at Providend

Balances refers to your account balances and don't include margin requirements.

Position refers to the investment you are holding.

Equity w/loan refers to total cash and investment values.

Initial margin refers to the minimum amount of equity required for a new investment.

Maintenance margin refers to the minimum amount of equity required to maintain your investment holdings.
