Singles BTO is limited to two room flat in non mature estates. And the time to completion is a couple of years and add in the MOP of five years, you could be looking at approximately 10 years before you can sell your two room flat. Will your future partner be ok to stay in a two room flat? And one person cannot “own” two HDB flats.

For resale flats now, you need to consider your affordability.

Or can go the rental route first and apply for BTO later as a couple?

Resale HDB high chance of losing money when you want to sell, unless you dont mind or going to live ...
