I read that GE careshield offer 20% discount valid till end June. Is the 20% for first yr premium or perpetually? As for Aviva is the 20% discount for lifetime?

I believe you are referring to the careshield enhansement - avivaa's long term care.

I understand that aviva's discount is for lifetime. but, please check before signing that the premiums quoted are the same for the entire premium paying period.

that being said, they promoting this discount since 2 years ago, and everytime they say promotion ends "end of this month", "end of this year". which leads me to believe that the discount is nothing more than just a marketing ploy. so, check carefully whether they have any clauses or costs which have not been fully disclosed to you.

GE Premiums are usually on the high end. However, there are good coverage around it if you read it carefully.

Is the base premium for careshield fixed? i read that gov can increase the premium. for supplement plan, is it possible that insurer can increase the premium eveb though they say it fixed now.

I am looking for a WLP with ECI coverage and received quotes from Aviva and AIA on a sum assured of 75k with 2x multiplier at 2.1k (25 years premium) and 2.4k (20 years premium). How should I choose?
