Will be moving to Bangkok for work. Unfortunately, it's not easy as an expat to get a local credit card, and even then the benefits aren't really good.
Seeking suggestions on the best Singaporean credit card that I can bring to Bangkok and use for everyday spending. I'm particularly interested in miles and lounge access, but am open to all benefits.

I would use the UOB Lady or DBS World card paired with a multi-currency card so you can still get the miles + lounge access, while not having to pay exorbitant DCC or FX fees.
You can learn more about the different multi-currency card options available here and decide which one works best for you. Top choices are usually YouTrip or Revolut - depending on how savvy an app you want with bonus perks.

Hi Royce,
You're probably overseas by now and I normally try to answer miles related questions in my spare time. Hope you managed to get a OCBC 90N card for uncapped 4mpd till end Feb, after which you will probably want to fall back on BOC Elite Miles for 3mpd, if you can withstand the 1 year validity and the difficulty in communicating with their customer service.
Otherwise, the OCBC 90N remains a good card for 2.1mpd, or the UOB PRIV for 2.4mpd, except that both have no lounge access. Pair it with the DBS Altitude or Citi PM for lounge access.
All the best!

For Miles & lounge access, Citi Premiermiles is great for overseas as you get 2.0mpd and your miles do not expire.

What is your posting duration? I was in TH for a period of time and managed to get credit cards from a couple of banks no problems. For any extended posting that is your best bet.
Do note that even if the local cards are somewhat weaker in benefits - it is much better than if you are using an SG based card where any benefit gained will be eclipsed by the FX fees charged (~ 2-3%) unless you use something like Revolut/YouTrip (which don't have benefits....)
