I had an initial investment of 20k and recently see a growth of 5k+, after investing for 5 years...should i cash out or continue to be reinvested?

I don't have an urgency for $$ but ive seen that portfolio dipped to below 20k. Should i cash it out and redeploy?

Well it depends on what type of investment is that. If is volatile high risk portfolio, no harm taking profit and reinvest in portfolio with long term goal and less volatility.

That is the point of a long term portfolio.

Good to consider diversifying with dividend paying local stock if you feel that you must take profit.

Given the current global economic outlook, what are the options if I have 20k cash to invest with, and looking at roughly 5% p.a. over 5 to 10 years?

Heard someone say recently that, "The next 5 years are going to be the golden years for macro-investing." What exactly is macro-investing? And is there a micro-investing?

If my auto loan is $20k, 6.64% APR over 6 years, I can justify not paying it off (paying the extra $5,659 over 72 months) only unless I see returns elsewhere on $20k that are over +6.64% each year?

I'm 20, waiting for enlistment. I have a investment horizon of 5~ years, and have been DCA-ing in STI ETF for a year. Which investment strategy is better suited for cash lying around?
