I had an initial investment of 20k and recently see a growth of 5k+, after investing for 5 years...should i cash out or continue to be reinvested?

I don't have an urgency for $$ but ive seen that portfolio dipped to below 20k. Should i cash it out and redeploy?

It might be good to take out profits once in a while.

Cash out immediately. Very low and slow return

Well it depends on what type of investment is that. If is volatile high risk portfolio, no harm taking profit and reinvest in portfolio with long term goal and less volatility.

That is the point of a long term portfolio.

Good to consider diversifying with dividend paying local stock if you feel that you must take profit.

Reinvest for long term gains if you do not need the cash right now...
