Hi, it depends on your risk appetite and your investment goals. In singapore, the safest would be SSB. It is low risk and u can even start from as low as $500. You are allowed to withdraw or redeem your savings bond at any time as well. You can find out more about SSB here.

If you are unsure of which to pick, you can consider unit trusts that invest in bonds, you get a pool of bonds with a lower amount of cash outlay. It really depends on what your risk appetite is like.
If you have time, you can do your own research on the different bonds available in the market.
If you do not have time, then seek out professionals to assist you as they would have the expertise and understanding to advise you.

Since you have not much idea, just stick with SG bonds easier. Can be govt bonds, can be retail bond...
