I am a SC living overseas with my foreign husband and kids. First timer & want to buy resale flat. Total gross salary is around SGD$18k and nett is $10k. Are we eligible for HLE and which grants?

Unfortunately, your gross income shouldn't exceed $14k as you will fall under the income ceiling for families as per HDB.

As for which housing grants you're eligible for, may we know:

• Your average monthly household income over the past 12 months
• The size of the resale HDB flat you want to buy
• HDB or EC?
• Will you be staying within 4km of your parents' house?

These criteria will affect which housing grants you can apply for.

The purchase of resale HDB does not have income ceiling but it comes with some eligibility criteria - afterall the intent is to provide SC w housing for their families in Singapore i.e. not for investments/income-generation purposes.
