I have read quite abit on investments and im ready to get started. Have been letting my savings idling around :(
My income is $2-$2.3k per month. I spend $800/month on average
Planning to use $10k for emergency funds and put it in Singlife account.
Buy a hospitalisation insurance and invest $100 each month in Stashaway at 20-30% risk index.
Would these portfolio diversification be safe and effective for me?

Singlife is a good place to park up to 10k of your funds, think of it as a high interest account or a liquid "bond" that pays out 2.5% p.a. monthly.
On top of that, kindly let me second a kind Seedly Community member who has written his thoughts below: Frankie Rappaport.

His piece may be a handful, but please take the time to break it down into chunks or re-read it if you need to. See if it resonates with you and then adopt the best practices within and apply them yourself.
All the best!

Hello! It's good that you're starting to think about wanting to invest now while you're still young and having an emergency fund is extremely important. I suggest that you can invest more in StashAway since you do have extra money to play around with along with your consistent stream of income. Consider pumping in an additional $1k-$5k to StashAway depending on your risk appetite and time horizon.
If you are feeling adventurous, open a brokerage account to start buying stocks to increase your potential returns on your investments! But of course, do your own due diligence and research on which company's stocks would you want to invest in.
I'd also suggest meeting with a trusted financial advisor to settle your insurance (accident, critical illness, etc). We often forget about the importance of insurance as well. Furthermore, with a financial advisor, you may ask them for their advice on investing and a potential investment strategy that works for you. All the best!
