Hi there,

In a nutshell, pre-hospitalisation expenses are costs incurred relating up to the point of hospitalization.

For Example,

If i consulted a GP for an illness, which was subsequently referred to a specialist. Then following which hospitalisation stay or surgery is required.

Any claims prior to the point of your hospital stay/surgery, may be reimbursed by your insurer, should your claims be valid. There is a clause in your Integrated Shield Plan, which lists out the duration before hospitalisation for which a claim can be made. It ranges from 90-180, depending on the insurer.

I do hope i was able to address your queries!
