35k-50k is the relatively expensive one already. Otherwise it is below that, considering everything is smooth and alright.

Dependent on companies, some do cover checkups and hospital bills.

Necessities are planning for the short term.

If can spare, you can plan for the long term with insurance/endowment which i'll not include.

Prenatal Checkups (~3 checkup+ultrasound): $2-4K

Cost of Natural Birth Delivery (SGH): $3.5K

Post Natal (Confinement meals): $1.7K

Post Natal (Massage): $500

Newborn essentials(Towels/bottles/cream/wash): $500

Sterilizer (2nd hand): $200

Immunization Jabs: $200

Stroller: $100-$300

Breastpumps/nursing: $400

Clothes (hand-downs is free): $700

Baby 1st mth celebration: $1000

Diapers/Milk (first 2 years - buy online in bulk. Dependent on brands): $1-2K

Infantcare (PCF): $1.3K/mth

PG/Nursery (PCF): $760/mth

So assuming smooth delivery no complications, relatively no frills estimate first two years prep $12-15K. But with cashbonus+CDA it does offset quite a bit, also you can tap on medisave for hospital/checkups. Clothes can get hand-downs. So you can see why some still can afford many kids.
