I think my lack of self-esteem has cost to me less willing to put myself out there, to socialise, to network with other people (which is an increasingly valued skill nowadays), to lose out in terms of getting a wholesome school life. I wonder how much, in terms of opportunity cost, my lack of self-esteem has cost me?

I think a more productive way of looking at it is to not think at how much it had costed you as you'll probably beat yourself up more over it. Instead, figure out why you had low self-esteem to begin wtih - could it be due to shyness, childhood trauma, bad experiences? There are a multitude of reasons why in an age where digital media can become a buffer to many lifeskills.
I too had low self-esteem, plenty of others I know are too. Mine came about from being necessitous after graduating while others took their time over years as they grew more competent. I'm sure yours will too!
