Should invest in local or overseas market with CPFIS-OA and SRS? Should robo be considered for long term? Unsure hows the fee as the amount increase.
What do you invest in with your CPFIS-OA and SRS? Do you invest differently for these two?

Hi Anon,
Let me answer this in my own personal capacity. I started off investing my CPF and SRS into STI ETFs because
I am a strong beliver of passive investing
want to focus on my career and human capital, so I want a hands free approach.
I soon realised that it is very inefficient to invest in STI ETFs due to the brokerage cost and agent bank charges incurred (you have to invest in larger denominations of $5000 to make brokerage worth it). Also, working in a listed temasek linked company back then, I didnt want more exposure into the Singapore market, especially since my CPF is indirectly tied to the success of Singapore.
I actually wrote to the straits times back in 2017 (Endowus was not even incorporated!) that we needed better investment options for retirement, preferably low cost, tax efficient UCITs funds that is diversified.
Currently Endowus offers low cost funds to retail investors like you and I for both CPF and SRS. Our services are not as cheap as what you can get from a brokerage, but it is afterall a managed and advised portfolio with rebalancing services and a convenient RSP investment option. We are the lowest cost, most diversifed option for CPF and SRS investment and I am a proud employee that invest in my own company product.
Hope this sharing helps!
