I started a full time job last december with a 30k P.A salary, applied for Citibank CC at IT show couple of weeks back then cus the bank guy told me I could; I got rejection letter from them couple days back. Is there anyway to find out the reason or something I can do to get an approval?

30k annual salary should be enough to meet the credit card application. Did you send them the correct documents? Payslip, a bill with address or income tax slip
What you can do is sign up for it again. No harm sending in another application.
