I think if you are going to use your card a lot then credit cards may end up paying a lot of extra fees

Those who suggested U-trip, is it better exchange rate to withdraw cash in foreign currency from ATM when overseas, or to use the U trip card directly for these overseas purchases?

Bring YouTrip / Trust Card / DBS Multi-currency Debit cards as your cashless payment cards.

YouTrip mainly for cash withdrawals at local ATMs (for a fee of SG$5 per withdrawal, plus prevailing FX exchange rates at time of withdrawal)

DBS and Trust Card works in a hybrid way of either :

  1. Alternative cards
  2. Top-up cards to your YouTrip card, on the spot, without any admin fees.

P.S: Make sure your SG based SIM Card can receive OTPs while in Korea, this is VERY VERY IMPORTANT, in case of any fraudulent transactions that needs OTPs to verify with customer service calls, or any iBanking apps (just in case). I had my case while in Kyoto, Japan, back in 2015, with OCBC Frank CS on the line.
