When you visit the show room, then the agent always ask if you brought along a cheque. If I am really interested in the project, is it ok I pass the agent the cheque first? So he can submit when im keen to get a ballot chance On launch day?
what must I put on the cheque? (It seems scary as it's like giving them a blank cheque like that..)
and later, will the cheque be returned to me if never ballot a unit?
thank you everyone, much appreciate your help!

Make sure when agent take the chq from you. the Payee is the account name of the project you are buying and not a blank chq that the agent fill in his/her own name :) Usually each condo have a project account and if you are in the showflat sales counter have rubber stamp that is use to stamp on the Payee Field. Also if you do not sign off the chq, till you confirmed buying, bascially it will lower your risk.
