Hi! I’m planning to put aside $1k-1.5k per month to invest in stock market. Any recommendations where I can read up and invest into? Thanks! (Can put in for long term, no need for next 20-30 years)

I was thinking to have one portion into etf, one portion into something more risky is possibly ok. And do you recommend focusing on US equities, or should portion into SGX too?

Do you have any counters to recommend I have a read up on?

should I buy ireland domiciled etf just because of the tax savings versus US etf?

thank you for all kind recommendations!

Youtube will be your best friend. For me when I started to buy stocks, i usually buy those whom I believe in. For example, those that you use most frequently, like Apple Stock for the Iphone that you usually use.

1k to 1.5k is too little to invest in stocks , need at least 7k. Then can see profit. 1 to 1.5k better to put in ETf or funds, DCA every month pump in 1.5 to

I think focusing more on us equities is better

For basic investment 101, try watching YouTube. These are some YouTubers I watched:

  2. Honey Money Sg
  3. Coffeezilla, to learn about scam

As a beginner, I started with S&P500 (VOO) since I was doing DCA with small amount of money (fractional trading). The VOO did relatively well over the year.
