No. The coverage is worldwide. But the diagnosis has to be confirmed by the medical panel under the insurer's list which is in Singapore. Medical expenses will be tagged to the cost of Singapore - up to the price level of the plan you have purchased. Similarly, the determination of the condition has to be confirmed by the insurer's panel of doctors.

No issue for Aviva MyWholelife plan as long as you come back SG to make the claim and submit the relevant documents.
HOWEVER on "NTUC income hospitalisation" which I presume you are referring to the Enhanced IncomeShield, please refer the policy conditions which is self-explanatory.

Apart from Emergency Overseas Treatment benefit, there's nothing else eligible for a claim outside SG.
