This might be a long story but I'll try and summarize it. I've been with Franklin Templeton for 19 years (lost count really as time has flown by!) and started my career doing a bunch of things for the firm, including fixed income cash management, operational support, project management, client service, etc. Pretty much like a self-made management trainee program over 10 years! I then moved into institutional business development before progressing into management roles and now Country Head.
I knew I wanted to be in the asset management industry since my university days as I enjoyed the movement of money, how it flows through a very complexed system in the world and how it grows. Equally, I enjoyed studying how businesses grew and identifying which were good companies to invest in. So it seemed natural that I wanted to join Franklin Templeton when I saw an advertisement for a job offer, as the first thing that came to my mind, was about the opportunity to meet and work with Mark Mobius, who continues to inspire me till today.
Franklin Templeton is a great firm with a wonderful culture of investment talent and if that stimulates you as much as it has stimulated me all through these years, do join us π
