Electricity is the only item to have a contract? The other Gas and Water are not open right?

Hi there, currently the Energy Market Authority has only liberalised the Electricity market and therefore consumers can only get their choice of supply for gas and water with SP Services.

Electricity contracts are offered to consumers by Electricity Retailer to help consumers fixed their rate for the contract period to secure a preferred rate. There are also non contracts available but they might tend to be higher in price as the duration cannot be hedge and price increased risk has to be considered.

At Tuas Power, we offer the same SP bill for the convenience of our customers and therefore if you are a Tuas Power customer, you will continue to get the same SP bill. So yes, the only contractual item in the SP bill is Tuas Power's contract with our customers while Gas and water will be charge by SP services based on the prevailing tariff.

There's a few companies for residential gas like citygas and union gas. Depends on whether you want piped or gas cylinder. Water only one player which is government at the moment.
