Career switch at mid thirties?

33yo. Have always been in the corporate sector. Feeling very drained with no motivation wherever I go. Take home is about 4k. To stay in the current industry or take a leap of faith (potential pay cut) and switch industries?

I’m in my mid 40s, and struggled the same dilemma as you. However, I took the courage to learn new skills and career transit into a new field. It has been amazing so far. Not always smooth riding. I took a big pay cut, but the following year I manage to move to another co. And get better pay. I have gained new experiences and manage to apply some past skill to my current job. So far it has been fulfilling. I have never look back.

I’ve watched this video and it talked about thinking of the worst case scenario. In the event it doesn’t work out in a different industry, you always can go back to the old one given your experience. (Or try something new) But if you don’t try something now, you might be boggled with the what if. But changing industry entirely is not easy and it depends how much you want it.
