Can I use CPF grant [EHG] to pay for stamp fee/ conveyancing fee & registration fee upon signing the lease agreement?

Since I just started working for about a year & my partner is still schooling, I might not have enough money in my OA by the time I sign the lease agreement. Would you recommend to pay it in cash and use the grant to reduce the HDB loan for the flat? Thank you

CPF housing grants can be used to:

Offset the purchase price of the flat
Reduce the mortgage loan for the flat purchase

The grant cannot be used for the minimum cash downpayment (if any) and monthly mortgage instalment payments.
