Hey Anon, the Integrated Shield Plan is not a life insurance product. It doesn't allow for riders that provide a lumpsum in the event of CI.
You'd have to purchase a life insurance product either standalone or added as a rider to give you that lumpsum benefit.
They can cover for life, premiums are level (doesn't increase every year), and you can pay finish within 5 to 30 years instead of pay whole life.
Speak to an Independent Financial Advisor like myself for a comparison across multiple insurers for the best value plan.

Hi Anon,
Hariz has said it as clear as day, Integrated Shield Plans are not life insurance products, they are mainly for reimbursements.
Also, if you are looking at Critical Illness coverage, you would have to get a life insurance product, either a whole life policy or a term policy that covers death, total permanent disability, critical illnesss and early stage critical illness as well.
These products premiums are level and payment term can be varied depending on what you are looking at and also the difference between whole life and term is that whole life covers you the whole of life, but the payment term can be from 5 to 30 years, depending on you. For term, you decide how long you would like the coverage for, and it's always advised that the payment term and the policy term to be the same.
