Can a fresh grad reject company B after accepting if company A (the one I want to work in) replies to my application late?

I'm a uni fresh grad applying for jobs.
Say, if I sent in resume to company A I want to work in, and also to other companies B, C, etc. Then I get reply from company B that my application is successful. If I agreed, then company A inform me they want me to go for interview, can I reject company B?

I strongly believe you can. There are companies that offer a potential employee a role and then renege on the offer due to reasons like "restructuring, budget issues, role is not needed subsequently". You, as the potential employee, have every right to choose which company you want to work for.

There shouldn't be any huge ramifications if you haven't signed the document and only verbally agreed. It may leave a bad impression though.

If you have signed the document, then you may want to read through the fine-print and decide then.
