I believe so, the debit card and bank account are separate just that debit card can be linked to the bank account for cash withdrawal. Best is to call the bank and check!

Is it an offence to allow my parent to use my debit card and change the account phone number to his/hers?

Are debit cards necessarily lousier than credit cards? I saw a UOB promotion giving 5 miles per $1 for a debit card spending. Why would banks do that? Is it wise for me to just get a debit card?
