I've done a ton of research on this, and short-term/vacation rentals are proven to generate a lot more income versus long-term rental. Especially in Bali where there is an influx of digital nomads etc. Eden Homes specially offers this, helping Singaporeans (or anyone residing in Singapore) to own and rent out vacation rentals. Everything is fully managed.

I've helped developed & sell villas in Bali. It's more worth it to rent/buy land, construct a villa and then sell it to owners to rent rather than purchasing an exisiting villa and renting it out.

The villa scene in Bali is super saturated so its best to have money in the pocket at the get-go rather than weighing it on rental income
