I'm currently using the HSBC Revolution card, which I love for its 4 mpd rate. But lately, I often exceed the $1,000 cap to $2000+ and end up earning just 0.4 mpd for the excess spending.
I'm looking for recommendations on the next best credit card to complement my HSBC Revolution. Should I go for the Citi Rewards card, which I can then earn 4mpd on all my purchases regardless of HSBC or Citi, or consider a general spending card? I'm getting married next year, so I might incur more significant expenses for the honeymoon or whatnot.
TIA

To maximise efficiency, definitely get a 4 mpd card. Citi Rewards + amaze is an excellent option as it doubles up as a travel spending card when you go overseas.
Regarding your wedding expenses for next year, you (and your spouse) can KIV the signup promos that offer miles. UOB has been having pretty good ones for their PRIVI miles and KF card this year, so hopefully they last till next year. An alternative is UOB Lady's solitaire if you or your spouse have a high enough income to get approved, as it has a $3k cap on 2 categories to earn 4 mpd.

Can stack with HSBC Revolution Card and Citi Rewards Card for the max 4MPD benefits, at least for the first $1,000 + $1,000 (total $2,000 worth of expenses) for now.
As for wedding expenses, can split the total bill up into instalments if applicable, and use multiple cards in order to gain the maximum perks for the credit card spendings.
